A secret proposal in Millennium Park, Chicago!

I recently got to photograph two complete strangers from California as Cody proposed to his fiance, Kait. It was incredible.

You see, these two were in Chicago for ‘vacation’ and Cody had reached out to me to see if I would photograph the big moment wherein he asked her to marry him. Let’s just say that I was beyond excited to document such a momentous occasion. He picked one of my favorite spots in the city—Lurie Gardens—and the weather was perfect. In fact, we practically had the place to ourselves that morning. They showed up early, but luckily I was already set up and ready. It all went off without a hitch and she said yes. It was perfect and I am so honored to have been part of it. By the end of it all, I felt like I had gained two new friends.

Then they went off to celebrate. We met up the next evening for an engagement session in Lincoln Park. It did not disappoint!
