A proposal by the lake and a coffee date

Aidan proposed to Janel back in May and I was there to photograph this sweet moment. She said yes and it could not have been more gorgeous.

Being a documentary photographer, I have to say, proposals and engagements are some of my favorite things I photograph. They are intimate, special and such a big moment in the couple’s relationship. When Aidan reached out, I was traveling and instantly knew I did not want to miss this. And, when he asked her to marry him, I was just getting back into the swing of things… coming off of two weeks abroad. I could not have come up with a better way to get back to work. A welcome and emotional re-entry, just as I would hope!
