Born and Raised in North Central Illinois, I now consider Chicagoland my home. I am a dreamer who enjoys yoga, cooking with my husband, snuggling my cat, getting my hands dirty in the garden or with clay, traveling to distant lands and making snow angels. It is the little things in life for this girl.

These days, I don’t consider myself solely a wedding, family or editorial photographer, but rather a photographer of life in all of its forms. I am a documentarian and it is rooted deep in my soul. While I absolutely love LOVE, capturing the essence of a place, a couple, or the true emotion of a day is my favorite part of this work. I am an empathetic soul who will probably cry on your wedding day, a romantic at heart, who truly enjoys documenting life.

Hello! I am a Chicago-based photographer, Documenting Places, Love, The Journey & Everything in Between… since 2010.

My work is unscripted, photojournalistic and real. I am a big believer in candid photography telling the story of a place or time. Its essence.

Being a fly on the wall is my specialty, but I know when to give you that gentle guidance, if needed. My goal is for you to forget that I am there, so you can be in the moment. This way, when looking back at the photos in the coming decades, the candid photography should bring you back to that moment… years down the road.

I pride myself on giving my all to everything that I do, even during the busiest of seasons. Autumn, I am looking at you! While I am so excited to work with you, I am a small business and only take a limited number of projects each year so that I can invest the most care and attention that each client deserves.

A bit more about me. The bonus round!

One

I wear my heart on my sleeve and almost always cry at weddings.

two

Traveling + learning about other cultures has been such a gift. Having the opportunity to photograph the world has opened my eyes in ways that I didn’t see coming. See what I did there?

Three

My husband and I met at work. In a past life, we were both Graphic Designers and it was love at first sight. True story.

Four

I love telling your story and capturing the moments in between the moments. Those moments are the chef’s kiss, as they say.

Five

Capturing the essence of a place is my jam. Working for the National Geographic would be a dream.

Six

My favorite part of a wedding day is the ‘First Look’. Would recommend.

  • On the day of, she was amazing. She entered this machine-like art mode in which she was seemingly everywhere, getting shots of everything.  But, she was never in the way.

  • I knew Becca was going to be my wedding photographer before I knew I was getting engaged!

    — Jamie

  • She perfectly captured not only our wedding day, but my partner and I's personality. We had touch-and-go weather throughout the day, but her patience and expertise made us feel so welcome. A kind photographer who knows what she is doing. Highly recommended!

    — Peyton

  • I'm finding in the photos little moments I had no idea that she was getting on camera. To me, this is one of the biggest signs of a professional, that for most of the day I didn't even realize she was photographing.

    — Carrie

  • Most importantly, Becca has a quiet, confident personality that made her an incredibly comforting and anchoring presence on our very busy and chaotic day.
